In this self-help journal, Dr. Joi Lewis offers a year of affirmations and restorative practices for radical healing.
This book is a balm for those ailing parts we can't reach alone.
It is an open invitation to live freely and show up for a revolution that heals us. Because the revolution is not only for those out there, but for the body, mind, and spirit right here: it's an inside job.
Dr. Joi Lewis is a healer and facilitator of liberation, social justice, and radical self-care. She is known for her visionary community healing work locally, nationally, and globally. For over a decade, she has been teaching the Orange Method (OM) to bring radical self-care and emotional liberation to those who need it most: our activists, changemakers, community leaders, healers, and emotional laborers.
Centered around 52 affirmations, this guided journal welcomes readers to interrupt isolation, inspire radical self-care, and connect with thousands of others in the healing community.
In this self-healing book, engage with the practice of radical self-care that will help you rediscover the relationship between social justice and mental well-being through:
- an affirmation journal with 52 mindfulness journal prompts designed to call in lasting healing,
- a year of self-care and restorative practices,
- a racial justice book with self-care for activists,
- a guided meditation book that offers accessible ways to incorporate meditation, mindfulness, emotional liberation, and conscious movement into your everyday life.
May the revolution include your rest and rejuvenation, joy and laughter, long pauses for deep breaths, and lots of community gatherings where we can plant and prune and pick and harvest. May you discover that the balm was always right there inside you.
We don't have to wait for that day when we feel the work is done enough to allow space for our own healing. We get to heal today.
