In these 13 stories I am at home in New York at different stages in my life, and I am away studying, teaching and traveling in Europe, Nepal, India, North Africa. The earliest stories begin in my 20's: late 1960's, in former Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia; in New York City, and in New York's Hudson Valley. They continue in journeys to Nepal, India, Sicily, Morocco and Spain. The stories were written at the time they occurred or completed years later with the help of personal journals and recorded interviews.

"A beautiful memoir of a life of movement, meticulously observed."  -- Jonathan Fox, co-founder of Playback Theatre

"Clorfeine's appreciation for the fullness of experience...is breath-taking." -- Parabola, A journal of myth, tradition and the search for meaning.

Steve Clofeine is the author of 6 poetry collections and a non-fiction book, 'In the Valley of the Gods: Journals of an American Buddhist in Nepal.'

Book category: travel, memoir, non-fiction
