Traveler in an Antique Land is a social/political mystery about life in 2024 America.

The plot centers around the evolving relationship between Thomas Traveler, a renowned born-again Christian investigative journalist and Sophia Azarmedukht, a beautiful Persian-American advertising consultant. An additional key figure - the super-rich Chairman -  is the powerful owner of the world’s most influential media empire.

The reader follows Thomas as he grapples with two tasks: first to help the Chairman launch a “New Politics” political party and second to assist in solving the case of a mysterious bombing incident that has claimed the life of a Washington D.C. postal employee.

Within a setting of global energy weather and economic deterioration Thomas travels from the Chairman’s South American island compound to Washington D.C. New York City and Havana Cuba.

As the narrative of Thomas’s and Sophia’s journey unfolds issues of race religion and political power are treated within a framework of parody and satire.
