This unique resource teaches English (including ESL/EFL) within a Biblical context and in a pictorial format, using stunning photography and artwork. It focuses on the top 1,000 most frequently used vocabulary words. It also presents an overview of pronunciation and key grammatical concepts. At the same time, it teaches major parables, verses, stories, and themes from Scripture. Also included are suggestions for classroom games, lessons, and activities. There are pages for various ESL levels, so it can be used in a mixed level class, as well as in one-to-one tutorials.
MariAnne Dibbley has taught ESL/English for over 20 years to students of various ages and backgrounds and in a variety of contexts (universities, K-12 public schools, and tutorials). She established the California English Language Academy to teach ESL in her local community. During the school’s ten years of operation, she frequently wrote her own curriculum. She has a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of California and is currently a PhD candidate in Intercultural Education at Biola University.
