Mark Danenhauer has had a passion for nature since he was a young boy growing up near the beaches of Southern California. While at College in Santa Barbara he developed a passion for the mountains. Since then his love of mountains has taken him to the Himalayas Madagascar Kenya South Africa the Andes and to the Rocky Mountains in Salt Lake City.

He holds a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara in environmental studies and an M.A. from the University of Illinois in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development. Throughout his life he has shared his passion of the outdoors with others while working with guides and children as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar as a non-profit environmental advocate in Salt Lake City and most importantly as a father of two children.
