With a Danish-German mother from upstate New York and a Black father from southern Virginia Aaron grows up with multiple cultures in a '90s world preoccupied by social and racial labels. While his nonconformity and self-determination bring him into conflict with the conventional and rigid settings he finds himself in they also open the doors to many unique and rich experiences. As Aaron seeks to be true to himself his family and faith he experiences loss and blessings that give him a greater sense of belonging to God and the mystery in life. Aaron Axhoj Bond was born in Washington DC and grew up in Northern Virginia. He holds a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia and a MA in Urban Planning from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He currently lives in Virginia with his wife.
