Alicia Hogan Murphy knew at the age of 8 that she wanted to be a children's author. She loves working with words to create stories and poems that make children believe in themselves and their dreams. When she isn't writing her books or working as Content Coordinator of a local magazine, Alicia enjoys baking, exercising, and spending time with her husband, her 3 children, her dog, and her friends.

Rachael Balsaitis is an artist and illustrator based in Minneapolis, MN. After having illustrated many picture books, Rachael now enjoys ink work featuring mostly animals. She attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where she spent a grat deal of time focusing on realism. The details and designs of the natural world bring an energy and interest that Rachael aims to bring to her work
