Lorenz Schrenk and his wife Ann reside in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. The Ozzie series had their origin in bedtime stories told to their three children and four grandchildren. The author is a retired research scientist and manager and a railroad historian. He has degrees from The George Washington University and from The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Navy during the war in Korea and later helped start one of the first Montessori schools in Minnesota. He has co-authored five volumes on the history of the Northern Pacific Railway and written many shorter articles. He especially enjoys creating stories that both entertain and help to educate children.
