Rossamünd has exchanged Winstermill and the dangerous life of a lamplighter for Brandenbrass and an even more dangerous life as factotum to the aristocratic monster-slayer, Europe.

Fear and self-doubt must wait, however, as he plunges headlong into the fulgar's day-to-day life of political manoeuvring, high-society parties and well-paid monster-hunting.

But whispers and rumours about her new factotum place Europe herself in danger, and now Rossamünd and the Branden Rose will face the ultimate battle against their enemies, the black-hearted schemers who would destroy them both.

"...brilliant work, full of amazing characters and high adventure, with stakes that only grow from page to page. "

D. M. Cornish is an award-winning author and illustrator who stormed the American market with the first book in his acclaimed fantasy series, Monster-Blood Tattoo, which received starred reviews in School Library Journal and Booklist. He is from Adelaide, where he studied illustration at the University of South Australia.

"Books One and Two, Foundling and Lamplighter have won accolades around the world, were shortlisted for major prizes and won the prestigious Aurealis Award for Young Adult Fiction in 2006 and 2008. And Factotum the final in the series, Monster Blood Tattoo, will be no less feted." — Fran Knight, ReadPlus

"Factotum is another great, heart-warming adventure with characters to love and loathe. ... With its complex, richly imagined world, its diverse and fabulous characters, its rollercoaster storyline, the Monster Blood Tattoo trilogy is the best damn thing I've read in a long time, and highly recommended." — Eamonn Murphy, SF Crows Nest

"I adored the first two books and I felt great trepidation before reading this. ... I am happy to say that this is a fantastic conclusion to the series." — John Enzinas, SFSite

"... a fantasy trilogy to survive the ages. Cornish's world-building is just as elaborate, and in some instances may even surpass, the great fantasy writers of the 20th century. ... Factotum is a fitting conclusion to a new classic. " — Ricki Marking-Camuto, Bookloons

"If you love epic fantasy that is a mix of Tolkien and Dickens you will enjoy this series. Those who haven't yet explored it I encourage your to start." — Kevin Holtsberry, Collected Miscellany

"So now it's done. It's done and it's gone and I'll never have the experience of discovering the books for the first time again. This makes me inordinately sad." — Betsy Bird, School Library Journal

"The world building in this book shows a depth and intricacy some will find intriguing and masterful. " — Chris Jones, Fresh Fiction

"Suffice it to say that it's a wonderful conclusion to the series. It's rich and vivid and complicated, and it requires a great deal from its gentle protagonist Rossamund. The supporting cast is dense and three-dimensional, with Europe being my particular favourite. I won't forget this particular monster hunter for a long time." — The Bookbag

"In the Monster Blood Tattoo trilogy ..., Cornish has done what is - quite frankly - one of the finest bits of world-building since Tolkien." — Melissa Conway, Book Squawk

"This is brilliant work, full of amazing characters and high adventure, with stakes that only grow from page to page. It is certain to be a series treasured by readers of all ages, no matter where it is placed in the local bookstore. In short, if you love the highest quality in genre fiction, you must read this series.Highest recommendation." — Drew Bittner, SFRevu
