Penn, Barbara Merritt Deese, C.N. Buchholz, Jeanne Mulcare, Daniel Kinney, Natalie Fowler, Thekla Fagerlie-Madsen, T.S. Owen.

The writers were tasked with using the same opening line, then including three of eight possible Easter eggs within their story. Part of the reader's challenge is to identify those Easter eggs.

Stories include a kidnapped blue ox, a murderous canoe trip in the North Woods, strange deaths, ghostly visitations, murder by weather, missing people or animals, thefts gone wrong, and friends with murderous intent. All in good fun, of course.

Michael Allan Mallory has published over twenty short stories and served as an editor on several mystery anthologies. He's the author of the award-winning The Lost Dragon Murder and its just published sequel, Tiger Claw.

Timya Owen is an author and editor whose first work appeared in the mystery anthology Dark Side of the Loon: Where History Meets Mystery.

Barbara Merritt Deese is the author of the No Ordinary Women book club mysteries, as well as short fiction.

"I've waited a hundred years for a collection of stories to match my own tall tales." — P. Bunyan (Lumberjack)

"A sparkling collection of mischief made in Minnesota...much like myself." — Babe (The Blue Ox)
