Christine Renhard Stenstrom was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She is a 1969 graduate of the University of Washington Seattle with a BA in sociology, a minor in history, and a secondary teaching certificate. Christine and her husband Dennis, a retired intellectual property attorney, moved in 2016 from Poway, California to Scottsdale, Arizona. They have two daughter, Erika and Britt. Together as a family they have lived in Seattle, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, and San Diego.
