Two hundred and twenty-five animals roam these pages, but only fifteen of them are real. To find the real animals, match colors and footprints then read interesting facts about that animal. Don´t forget to hunt for the hidden "heart" in each illustration. Then, let your imagination run wild as you create your own animals with funny names, by mixing top and bottom pages. Laugh out loud at wacky new animals, their names and descriptions. Can you find a "Bigeater" or a "Cheegaroo?" Can you find a "Girly," a "Maneater," or a "Moon?"
Dubbed "The Idea Girl" as a child by my parents, I love to combine whimsy and wacky with facts to make learning fun and memorable. I have a degree in National Resource Recreation and have worked with the National Park Service at Grand Canyon National Park. Currently, I work with English as a Second Language students as a high school math, social studies and science tutor. I find humor, love and adventure by asking just one more question. What´s around the corner? I usually have to find out. I am a recipient of the "Innovations in Education" grant and the "Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports" award. I have published a Language and Visitor Study for the National Park Service and currently excited about publishing Bigeaters & Cheegaroos.
