Kurt Boone is a native New Yorker. He is the author of seven books most notably co-author of New York Alleycats with photography by Amy Bolger and Messenger Poet with illustrations by Greg Ugalde. Kurt has been profiled in The New York Times New York Daily News and Courier Magazine.
In his fifteen years as a courier Kurt has made important deliveries for former President of the United States Bill Clinton New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly HBO Sopranos Production designer Ralph Lauren Jazz at Lincoln Center Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater comedian Bill Cosby and legendary newsman Walter Cronkite.
Kurt is the founder of two small businesses Boone Marketing Company and the Messenger 841 Project. He has also collaborated in designing a professional messenger bag with Seagull Bags. He recently produced the original web series The Messenger Poet Show and is also an avid supporter of urban cycling.
